About Us

Who we are

New Life Family Church is a growing church where everyone is encouraged to find their ideal position and play an active role in the work of God.

Nico and Rashelle leads the team at New Life, caring for this part of God’s family and giving a warm welcome to everyone.

We are a friendly, family-orientated church aiming to; connect God’s family together through Christian fellowship, study & obeying His Word, what He has to say to us in the Bible, and to discover & develop everyone’s gifts and talents through their faith in Christ.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and explore exactly what we are all about.

We hope that this site gives you a feel of the church – a taster of what to expect!

Our Vision

“A Christian Community building and growing the family of God”.

Our vision at New Life Family Church is to make a positive impact on the Isle of Thanet through creating an atmosphere of spiritual excellence, love and service; where people of all walks of life and nationalities, are welcome in God’s family.

We aim to share God’s word and demonstrate His unconditional love to everyone, both in our local community and around the world.

We are believing to see the name of Jesus honoured through His people in healing and miracles according to the ‘Great Commission’ (Matthew 28).

Within the church, we aim for Christ centred worship and for the Gifts of the Spirit to be evident.

There is a strong emphasis on prayer, believing that it must initiate and underpin all that is planned within the church programme.

What we believe

1. The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and therefore divinely inspired and infallible. It truly records the beginning of the universe and of the human race. The Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.

📖

2. The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally co-existing in three persons as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is sovereign in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.

📖

3. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten from the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and is fully God & fully man. Although he was man, Jesus lived a sinless life.

4. The Human Condition

We believe that man was created in God’s image, but by man’s own transgression he became separated from God. Since man’s fall into sin, the whole of humankind has descended into sin and is guilty before God, and stands under God’s wrath and condemnation.

5. The Work of Christ (I)

We believe that sinful human beings are redeemed from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and that Jesus Christ (through his life, death, and resurrection) is the only mediator between a sinful people and a Holy God.

6. The Work of Christ (II)

We believe that Jesus was crucified, dying for mankind’s sins so that they may be forgiven, reconciled, and placed in right standing with God.

7. Resurrection & Ascension

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus and that he rose from the dead on the third day. We believe that Jesus ascended into heaven and that he is reigning forevermore. We believe that one day Jesus will return to earth – personally, visibly and bodily- to consummate history and God’s eternal plan.

8. Redemption

We believe that all who repent of their sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. They are pardoned for all their sins because of the righteousness of Christ credited to them.

9. Regeneration

We believe that the Holy Spirit alone makes the work of Christ effective for individual sinners, enabling them to turn to God from their sin and to trust in Jesus Christ.

10. Grace & Faith

We believe that salvation is through God’s grace alone and this gift of grace can only be received by placing personal faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation cannot be received on the basis of works or by a person’s own effort.

11. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit reveals and glorifies Christ. He imparts new life in us and continually indwells us from the moment of spiritual birth. The Holy Spirit works in us to produce Christlike character (fruits of the Spirit) and to conform each believer to the image of Christ, until the day of His return.

12. Baptism

We believe that all those who have truly repented and believe that Christ is Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water. Baptism is an outward testimony of an inward reality. Baptism is our public identification with Christ’s own death and resurrection.

13. Spiritual Gifts

We also believe that the ‘Baptism in the Holy Spirit’ and the use of the ‘Gifts of the Spirit’, as recorded in the New Testament, are available to the church today.

14. The Church

We believe in the one, holy, universal Church. This is the whole company of those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. This is the Body of Christ, to which all true believers belong.

15. Christ’s Return

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return to judge the just and the unjust. Those who gratefully accepted God’s offer of salvation (the just) will be resurrected to eternal life and those who have rejected God’s offer of salvation (the unjust) to eternal judgment, away from the presence of God.

16. Marriage & Sexuality

In the current social conception of gender, sex, and identity we feel that it is prudent to state that we believe that God made man in his image (male & female) and instituted marriage as a lifelong covenant between one natural man and one natural woman.
