The Pastors, Philip and Kathy, enjoy their work at New Life, caring for this part of God’s family and giving a warm welcome to everyone.
We are a friendly, family orientated church aiming to; connect God’s family together through Christian fellowship, study what He has to say to us in the Bible and to discover and develop everyone’s gifts and talents through their faith in Christ.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and explore exactly what we are all about.
We hope that this site gives you a feel of the church – a taster of what to expect!
Our vision at New Life Family Church is to make a positive impact on the Isle of Thanet through creating an atmosphere of spiritual excellence, love and service; where people of all walks of life and nationalities, are welcome in God’s family.
We aim to share God’s word and demonstrate His unconditional love to everyone, both in our local community and around the world.
We are believing to see the name of Jesus honoured through His people in healing and miracles according to the ‘Great Commission’ (Matthew 28).
Within the church, we aim for Christ centred worship and for the Gifts of the Spirit to be evident.
There is a strong emphasis on prayer, believing that it must initiate and underpin all that is planned within the church programme.
We aim to be a church that is biblically sound, that believes, honours and preaches the Word of God so that all can understand it and apply it to daily life.
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It truly records the beginning of the Universe and of the Human Race. The Bible is God’s word to us and is our guidebook to life.
We believe that God is one, and has revealed Himself to mankind in three persons; traditionally known as ‘The Trinity’. That is, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God sent His only son, Jesus, to us here on earth. We believe that Jesus was crucified, dying for our sins, so that we may know God. We believe that He rose from the dead on the third day and returned to be with His Father in heaven. We believe that one day Jesus will return to earth – personally, visibly and bodily, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
We believe that all those who have truly repented and believe that Christ is Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water. Baptism is an outward testimony of an inward experience.
We believe that the Holy Spirit reveals and glorifies Christ. He imparts new life in us and continually indwells us from the moment of spiritual birth. The Holy Spirit works in us to produce Christ-like characteristics (fruits of the Spirit) and to conform each believer to the image of Christ, until the day of His return.
We also believe that the ‘Baptism in the Holy Spirit’ and the use of the ‘Gifts of the Spirit’, as recorded in the New Testament, are available to the church today.
