We stand at the doorway of a year yet unwritten,
Threshold trembling with promise and cost.
The road ahead will not be easy,
But it will be holy –
If we dare to walk it with God.
First, we draw near.
Not by our strength, nor by our worth,
But by the blood and finished work of Jesus.
We come with confidence, not because we are brave,
But because grace has opened the way.
See Him more clearly.
The Lamb who bore our sin,
Our High Priest who intercedes for us still.
For when Jesus is clear, faith grows strong,
And endurance takes root in the soul.
Storms will come.
Trials will press.
But those who have drawn near
Will not drift away.
They will endure –
Held fast by mercy, sustained by grace.
So draw near.
To the throne.
To the Word.
To prayer.
Let the Holy Spirit do a deep and necessary work,
One that will bear fruit long after this year has passed.
And then – step out.
Faith that draws near must also move outward.
If our doors were closed,
Would our town feel the silence?
Would hope be missed?
Would compassion leave a gap?
So we step out – not for comfort, but for calling,
Not to be seen, but so Jesus might be known.
To be present where pain is hidden,
To speak life where despair has grown familiar,
And to live the gospel we proclaim.
2026 will be demanding.
But it will be rewarding.
It will call for faith, clarity, courage, and love.
So see Jesus clearly.
Draw near with confidence.
Endure faithfully.
And step out into all that God has prepared for you.
Cheering For You
