This morning Derek spoke about 4 mindsets that can be found in the book of Philippians. The most important one is having a single focused mind.
The four mindsets can be found in the following chapters:
1. The Single Mind
- Chapter 1 v21 – “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
2. The Surrendered Mind
- Chapter 2 v5 – “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus…”
- Chapter 2 v12-13 – “…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
3. The Spiritual Mind
- Chapter 3 v8 – “…I want to gain Christ…”
- Chapter 3 v10 – “…I want to know Him and the power of His resurrection…”
4. The Secure Mind
- 4 v6 “Be anxious for nothing…”
- 4 v7 “…and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus our Lord”.
- 4 v13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
- 4 v19 – “…And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory.”
